Background Information :

In addition to advertising, we solicited bids from Federal Equipment Dealers, Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Jackson Restaurant Supply, and Chef’s Supply & Design for the purchase of a convection steamer for Ridgemont Elementary School (specifications detailed on individual bids below). Funds for this purchase will be budgeted in the Central Cafeteria Fund for the 2013 – 2014 fiscal year. We received bids from two (2) companies, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. The individual bids were as follows:

Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Memphis – $14,305
Federal Equipment Dealers, Memphis - $14,892

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the bid submitted by Hotel & Restaurant Supply for $14,305.  With this approval, it is the intent of the Board and management that no liability will be incurred, nor a purchase order issued, until the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013.
